LocoIO I/O

Content → Rocview → Programming → Stationary Decoders
Setup the basic I/O configuration in a few clicks.
The module address is used from General tab.
Address
Port address in range from 1 to 2048.
The used addressing scheme is PADA.
For WIOpicoLNet the port addresses are fixed and dependents on the Low Address. (Low address * 16 + port number)
Input
Normal input without switch-off delay and active low.
Configuration = 31
Block
Block occupancy detection with switch-off delay active to prevent unwanted LocoNet events, active low.
Configuration = 27
Switch
Output without reset, 1 - on.
Configuration = 129
Pulse
Output with hardware reset, 1 - on.
Configuration = 140
Two Coil Switch: C2
Many switch decoders have 2 outputs to control both coils of the motor.
To achieve this with LocoIO/MGV50 just program two outputs on the same address, one of them with the option "C2" (Coil 2) activated.
The LocoIO setup uses the NMRA accessory decoder addressing.
Example

For both address 1 and 2 are two ports with different gates programmed for controlling dual coil switch motors.
NMRA to FLat
| NMRA | Flat | |
|---|---|---|
| Port | Coil | Addr. |
| 1 | 1 | 2 |
| 1 | 2 | 3 |
| 2 | 1 | 4 |
| 2 | 2 | 5 |
| 3 | 1 | 6 |

Usage
Shows the Rocrail object ID which is linked to this port.
Save
Save all settings in a file in the CSV format: "SV, value".
Example of a SV file:
100, 148 0, 0 1, 81 2, 1 3, 31 4, 0 5, 16 6, 31 7, 0 8, 48 ...
Read
Read settings from file in the format described above.
With set all the SV values are stored in the LocoIO module.
Special remark on LocoIO modules
It is important to power off and on after programming LocoIO units (GCA50 etc) because some changes will only take place after a reset.
